SEMINAR SERIES - : DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION – A BETTER BUSINESS MIX? (25 January 2018)
Presented by: Tony Solomon
GEM / Gloucestershire Gateway Trust
11.30 - 12.30
Our customers are diverse, yet is that diversity reflected in our workplace? How do we break down the stigma that surrounds disability and create more open working environments? Only 17% of people with a disability are born with it. Most disabilities, mental and physical, are acquired during working age. Households including people with disability have a combined spending power of £212 billion. Are our recruitment practices excluding the best people for the job? Is Corporate Social Responsibility just an external focus? What financial support is available from the government?
This event will develop the business case for embracing disability and helping your business to thrive.
