The ‘Vouchers for Business Innovation’ scheme enables Gloucestershire-based companies to access academic expertise at a subsidised rate of up to 50%. The subsidy is subject to a minimum spend of £375 (i.e. project worth £750) and a maximum value of £1000. This means if the project costs £2000 the company would only pay £1000, but if the project was £3000 the company would pay £2000. The projects must be innovative projects and fit the innovation criteria set for this project:

· Find more cost effective ways of doing things

· Add new dimensions to current products or services

· Find new ways to access a market, existing or new

· Access information and expertise on new materials, products or processes·

Graduate Challenge - Here at the University of Gloucestershire we are currently running the Graduate Challenge programme to assist graduates into work:
For a minimal weekly payment Businesses can have a recent graduate working within their company on a defined 16 week project. The cost will cover the administration, teaching and mentoring as well as a graduate allowance.

The first 20 companies to take on a new Graduate Challenge intern will benefit from a reduced rate of £250 per week. The full costof £350 per week will apply thereafter.
Approximately 50% of graduates from the last scheme secured subsequent employment (many with their host company). A 16 week placement allows you to trial the graduate before any long-term commitment.
