CHELTENHAM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEMBERS VISIT BEHIND THE SCENES OF LOCAL MEDICAL CHARITY, COBALT
Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce members were invited to a behind the scenes tour of local medical charity Cobalt in Cheltenham on Wednesday 17 January to find out more about how Cobalt is helping patients in the County to access the very best in clinical imaging for diagnosis and research.
Members were given an update on the charity’s work by Chief Executive of Cobalt, Peter Sharpe. This included an overview of the vital work the charity do to support local people across the three counties with cancer, dementia and other conditions. They saw behind the scenes of diagnostic imaging equipment that is used to deliver high quality images and diagnosis not available routinely within the NHS or private sectors. There was a chance for networking and hot food supplied by local business The Travelling Chefs.
Julia Jenkins, Head of Fundraising, Cobalt said "The members visit was a fantastic opportunity for us to show off our facilities and the work we do to support local people affected by a wide range of conditions including cancer and dementia.”
Jon Leamon, Deputy Chief Executive, Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce said “Cobalt is a fantastic facility here in Cheltenham offering state-of-the-art scanning and screening. We are very lucky to have it.”
