MAYOR OF CHELTENHAM's CIVIC BALL TO RAISE FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHARITIES
Dear Members of the Chamber of Commerce,
I am writing as Mayor of Cheltenham to invite members of the Chamber of Commerce to join me for my Civic Ball, ‘An Enchanted Evening’ 23 February, 7 pm to midnight. This black tie event will raise vital funds for the two local charities that I am supporting through the Mayor of Cheltenham Charity Appeal.
The Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity’s Focus Fund provides vital equipment and support for cancer patients at the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre at Cheltenham General Hospital. The Hollie Gazzard Trust was set up following the brutal murder of Hollie by a former partner and works to raise awareness of and tackle domestic abuse, stalking and knife crime
This very special evening takes place at Manor By The Lake on Friday 23 February 2017, 7pm-midnnight, with tickets on sale for £50 per person. All profits will go to my chosen charities helping to make a real difference to local people living with cancer or domestic abuse.
Guests will enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the Manor House before sitting down to a delicious three course dinner at 7.30pm in the ballroom. Dance music will be provided by pop skiffle rascals Thrill Collins and there will also be a raffle and auction.
Manor by the Lake is a magical location for what I hope will be a very memorable evening. During my Mayoral Year I tried to bring some fun to the role of Mayor whilst raising a lot of money for two great local charities. I am delighted that Thrill Collins (not a Phil Collins tribute act!) are bringing their own brand of funky pop covers to my civic ball. This event is a really important part of my mayoral year; it promises to be a night to remember.
Tickets are available from Jennie Ingram, telephone 01242 264108 or email email@example.com
